Received the score report while waiting for the connecting flight at the amsterdam airport. My initial calculation indicates a score of 77. I will go through the finer details of the score values and make a decision whether to go for the reread. I think it might be worth it as I had some devices logging errors and could not reload due to the time constraints. The lab content was by no means difficult, the blueprint is covered well in the vendor workbooks. The questions are not hard and over preparation will not help much. The key to passing this lab is blistering speed and swiss precision accuracy. I finished the last question when some candidates were already handing in their workbooks.
Will update with a full post in due course.
sorry to hear that but it seems like you know that you’re at the level where the test isn’t difficult and that it’s a matter of time management. You’ll get it the next time around. Keep at it!

yes, it looks like it’s all about how you act in a stress situation. And obviously- CCIE lab is one hell of a stress situation!
i am studying to get my CCNP and reading your blog just convinces me more and more that i want to be a CCIE SP. Things you can get easy are not worth the effort. Good luck and keep us updated!

Sorry to hear you didn’t make it. I think you’re spot on–since you’ve completed both INE and IPX, you’ve been through most of the material. But speed and accuracy are key. The R&S lab (pre core questions) could be completed in about 4 hours if you didn’t have to look anything up and didn’t make any mistakes. The SP lab seems to take a minimum of 6. This doesn’t leave much time for research or troubleshooting.
77% on your first attempt is pretty dang good though. By now you’ve figured out some of their tricks and the jitters will be (mostly) gone next time, that alone has gotta be worth 3 points.
